The die were cast yesterday, and now the sooner, the better in terms of reducing damage to Seoul and Japan.

There will be tremendous bombardment of North Korean conventional forces by U.S., South Korean, Australian and Japanese air and naval assets, while the U.S. will unleash the largest flurry of their latest and most advanced bunker-busting busting missiles in history to target North Korean hardened missile sites and command and control centers.

South Korea and Japan will be stuck with the overwhelming share of rebuilding the former North Korean infrastructure and providing humanitarian assistance, while South Korea will pay for its integration into the whole of of a unified Korea (which will place massive burden on South Korean coffers and drag future economic growth lower for next decade).

Whoops that would be ULA, U Like America.
Being a couple miles from the SpX explosion, we heard Musk asked if they could go to top of the ULA bldg. (within shootin range) because of a filmed unusual "light" detected before the explosion and was denied. Several days later feds checked; found "nothing unusual". Next SpaceX launch was moved to CALI Vandenberg and a month or so ago, launched from 39A a fair bit farther.

But, probably distance make no diff., considering options available taken.............. N.K. kids toy BANG earlier today.

Well, that didn't happen. That's the problem with making near-term predictions. You live long enough to be proven wrong.

And thankfully, you were wrong. North Korean Missile Launch Fails, and a Show of Strength Fizzles (four hours ago)

Of course, your prediction might still happen in the near future, but hopefully it won't. It would be nice if the U.S. and China, now both heavily dependent on each other economically, will come to their senses and deal with North Korea together. During the Korean War, China and the U.S. weren't economic partners. Maybe now that we are, we can work together to topple the regime. It's no longer in China's self interest to protect that regime. We should make trade contingent upon fixing this problem.
