Since Comey is on record stating that he wasn't pressured to halt any investigations, I suspect that the rumor regarding Comey's "contemporaneous notes" recording Trump's alleged pressuring, will turn out to not be true at all.

I am getting frustrated with all this-especially the leaks from the intelligence agencies-to take down an elected President.

He testified that nobody in the justice department ever told the fbi to stop investigating something for political purposes. Trump is not the ag. Plus Trump didn't tell comey to stop. Nothing in that testimony contradicts the leaked memo. I'd bet the farm that the memos are real.

One reason why Comey would not resign if he felt pressured was that he was building a case against trump by letting him hang himself. Yesterday, wapo interviewed a guy who used to work at justice, and predicted the memos in a tweet. That's where I got the theory about building a case with the memos.

This would backfire if they 'take down' trump without evidence. There will be no take down until his support wanes. That will take both time and evidence.

You whiny hopeful Leftists who are desperately pushing for a coup are out of fucking luck. Most of the time, a coup requires the support of the military, and guess who the military supports! The only other way is impeachment, and there's no context for that, and no popular will for it among congress either.
