So much to say about Merkel's speech today to the CDU in Bavaria, basically calling for "Europe" to "go it's own way."

https://www.yahoo.com/news/merkel-warns-us-britain-no-longer-reliable-partners-130825785.html

Frankfurt am Main (AFP) - Europe "must take its fate into its own hands" faced with a western alliance divided by Brexit and Donald Trump's presidency, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Sunday.

"The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out. I've experienced that in the last few days," Merkel told a crowd at an election rally in Munich, southern Germany.

"We Europeans truly have to take our fate into our own hands," she added.

While Germany and Europe would strive to remain on good terms with America and Britain, "we have to fight for our own destiny"*, Merkel went on.

By "we" she means Brussels Technocrats in lock step with Hallstein's, the former Nazi Teachers Union Leader, beliefs. Greece has no say, nor Spain nor Portugual nor the Czech Republic.

Walter Hallstein's Europe. Yes, Wikipedia, but well sourced and fairly balanced.

By electing the Pretty Boy Old Lady Lover Administrator, instead of the Blonde de Gaulle, France may have contributed to the coming disaster.

Germany is a perpetual geopolitical problem, it should have been kept split up in two, or better yet the Morganthau plan to turn it into an agrarian paradise should have been implemented.

Trump pulled the veil away, and the old Will to Power is returning. The EU is Germany's colony, buying all her exports, while EU regulations keep foreign finished good competitors out. Germany will not let it her Kolonies, finally gotten after a century of attempts, go lightly.

* Uh ohhhh....

It is definitely spreading and subsidizing Islam

What sources show the America government is subsidizing and spreading Islam by direct intent?
Who is doing this: name/agency?

I've learned since the many times American interests were betrayed ...

I think you need to look carefully at American betrayals as well. This is not as one sided and clean as you make it. The degree of alliance between nations and people is the degree to which their interests overlap and align. The US will deal with 'bad actors' and people we do not agree with, provided it serves the perceived national interest of the time. We are egalitarian opportunists.

You're pro-Islam in the same equally biased way only in the opposite direction. If you'd met a few well behaved Nazis or KKKlansmen, it seems like you'd be hunky dory with those ideologies too, even though they're as bad as Islam.

If by Pro-Islam you mean I believe they have a right to speak, practice, and believe what they will, provided it doesn't infringe on others rights ... then yes, I am "Pro-Islam". I'm also therefore "Pro-everything". This doesn't make me a sympathizer, or a radical, this makes me very American, because as detestable as I find all modern day hate groups, I understand why they cannot be permanently expunged.

ISIS is atrocious but Islam and the majority of Muslims are not.

BTW, as of 2014, more British Muslims were serving in the Islamic State than in the British military.)

That's a pretty questionable stat. It's very difficult to measure and is used to inflame a reaction by the Orange man himself. Dubious. No one actually knows if that is true. (Also, to find out something like that, it seems you would need to have a less free and Western society in the UK.)

Education and coming from a higher income family increases likelihood of being an Islamic extremist. This has been illustrated time and time again.

OMG! We better get the world poor and dumb fast! (Hint: you need a few more clarifiers there as "the great Satan" is in the details.)

At last we agree on something. You should read more:

"As the essential principle of [Mohamed's] faith is the subjugation of others by the sword; it is only by force, that his false doctrines can be dispelled, and his power annihilated... The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God... The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force... Such is the spirit, which governs the hearts of men, to whom treachery and violence are taught as principles of religion."

The Wahhabis profess a life of exceeding austerity, and what they practice themselves they rigorously enforce on others. They hold it as an article of duty, as well as of faith, to kill all who do not share their opinions and to make slaves of their wives and children.

That might align with your interests, but it doesn't align with American interests. The only reason you've been enlisted to support Islam is because the MIC found Muslims useful in fighting the atheist communist USSR. You're still banging that drum, pushing the deep state's war in Syria. It is contrary to our interests, unless you're working for KSA.

Anyway, that's all the time we have tonight, feel free to raise up strawmen or whatever and have a nice weekend.

Yes, we fundamentally disagree on who the bigger enemy is: Russia or Islam/ISIS. We also disagree on the degree to which Islam, the religion, is a security threat itself.

It is very likely, daily Intel briefings would tell us N. Korea is the predominant thing being focused on right now. So we would both be wrong ... for today.

I do maintain that the longer historical arc will not be an East/West Islam/Christianity clash of cultures but a Liberal Democracies vs Nationalist Tyrannies conflict.
