Their group is called "respect the [Confederate] flag". Of course, it's not the actual Confederate flag. Not any of them. It's the Confederate battle flag that became popular in the south in the 1920s when the KKK adopted it as a terrorist symbol. Is it a surprise these racists rally behind this symbol? Hardly.

A Georgia judge sentence the man to 13 years in prison and the woman to 6 because, well, female privilege. They are also banned from the county once released. I didn't even know a state could ban people from counties.

The couple were members of a group called 'Respect the Flag,' and were joined by a caravan of other people who shouted at adults and children that they would 'kill y'all n*****s,' while proudly displaying confederate flags.

They waved the Confederate flag and a shotgun at a black child's party. Now they're headed to prison on terrorism charges.

In July 2015, a group of 15 people calling themselves “Respect the Flag” boarded several pickup trucks, each outfitted with Confederate and American flags, and embarked on a drive around Douglasville, Ga., a small city west of Atlanta. Tensions around displaying the Confederate flag were already high. Barely a month had passed since Dylann Roof, the avowed white supremacist who had posed with the Confederate battle flag, killed nine black Americans at a church in Charleston.

And the small “Respect the Flag” group went far beyond a display of Confederate pride. Hatred, a Georgia judge said during a sentencing Monday, propelled the group as they descended upon a child's birthday party and unleashed a storm of death threats and anti-black slurs, and pointed a shotgun.

The Confederate battle flag was never flown after the Civil War until the KKK adopted it as a terrorist symbol. People who fly that flag aren't honoring the Confederacy -- which has no honor as it was composed entirely of slavers and traitors -- since it's not even the flag of the Confederacy. No, they are just showing their allegiance to the terrorist organization called the KKK. The Confederate battle flag is no different from the ISIS flag.

Sure you have a right to fly it, but if you do, we all know it's because your a racist asshole, not a proud southerner.
