Generation "Z" (those born in the mid 1990s) will be the most conservative generation since post-WWII.

Most in Gen Z are products of conflict and recession. They can only remember a news cycle “marred by economic stress, rising student debt … and war overseas.” As a result, they’ve taken on what one team of Goldman-Sachs analysts called a “more pragmatic” and conservative outlook on the world.

According to one British study conducted by global consultancy firm, The Guild, almost sixty percent of Gen Z respondents in the U.K. described their views on “same-sex marriage, transgender rights and marijuana legalization” as “conservative” or “moderate,” compared with a whopping 83 percent of Millennials who called themselves “quite” or “very liberal” on these issues. The Gen Z participants were even ten times more likely than Millennials to dislike tattoos and body piercings!

Compared to Millennials (who are now reaching their mid-late 30s), Gen Z, which is comprised of mostly 18-24 year olds has embraced a much more "right leaning" view on politics as a whole. They are pro-life, pro-capitalism, pro-gun, anti-big government programs, and anti-illegal immigration. You can see it with counter-culture examples like Pepe the Frog, and the "Meme War" that Gen Z engaged in on the internet which was heavily anti-Hillary Clinton. The Democrats now days are seen as the establishment, old fogey party, and they're right. Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Schumer and Hillary Clinton are all over or approaching 70 years of age.

This will put a huge dent in leftist/progressive power in politics within the next 10 years.

The meaning of those words changes based on the Overton window. Since the conservative Tory party and the monarch endorsed marriage equality, that's now the conservative position.

Most Muslims opposed it though, and religious Muslims are over-represented among the young in the UK due to the dole subsidizing polygamous Muslim families. As Churchill wrote, Islam is a "retrograde force." Pence and similarly regressive politicians who call themselves "conservative" are also a retrograde force, fighting for bigotry rather than valuing stability.
