@patrick Can we do something about the title pages? Just looking at the feed now is enough to make me very embarrassed should someone see over my shoulder. Topics like this which are extremely, offensively, gratuitously nasty are a turn-off to your website. AF does this way too much as well. It turns my mouth down in disgust when I read that, and makes me want to give up on this site at least until such topics filter off the front page.

Is there even one redeeming quality in this post?

You're right, many of the titles and topics are gratuitously offensive and should not be imposed on people who don't want to see them. I deleted that post.

Doing away with Thunderdome threads altogether and enforcing more civility. It was fun, but it definitely drives people away.

I don't complain much, just when I sense a great problem with the site.

Not sure I like the numbers thing, but as an experiment it might serve a purpose. I think most posters were willing to give each other a read even if known to be diametrically opposed on ideological grounds.
