See, no one buys into the bs from the Blaze or Daily Beast.
But for some insane reason my leftist friends and family are all over the Facebook propaganda from Occupy Democrats, the 98%, Daily Kos, Mother Jones, and other corrupt lying communist propaganda outlets that primarily distribute their utter rubbish on Facebook.
What are some of the favorite words or pharses for those on "Find the American suckers" Facebook?

- Propaganda is normally understood as a mass media thing: TV or radio for example. But here we have a media that addresses each person individually and that uses AI to learn what works for a particular individual.
- It's a change of era from one controlled by a few media outlets (network news), to one controlled by a few Internet companies.
- This propaganda is hidden and asymmetric: while it has a huge amount of information on most of us, what it does is mostly hidden: since each of us gets something different, we simply don't know what is going on and the messages that are being pushed to others. This is the opposite of a public propaganda campaign.
- Its mostly automatic, based on AI, and right now with the single objective of maximizing clicks. (And obviously outrage of any kind is a good way to generate clicks.) but who knows what other objectives may be built in later?
- propaganda is powerful: we all think we can resist it, but we are all humans. We all have automatic reactions, and buttons that can be clicked.
- this potentially represents the perfect tool for a dictator to control a crowd, or a political party to influence an election.
- remember because all arguments and tricks are hidden here, there is no chance for a third party to correct it, or be outraged by it. It's all invisible. Anyone can denounce the lies of Fox News, no one can comment on the lies FB pushed to TPB.
