This kneeling campaign might be popular among your friends, but it's deeply divisive for the nation, which is reeling from a deeply divisive election and ongoing divisive action and speech from Leftists in the media and government.

You don't kneel in church but then you aren't a Christian, so you aren't expected to. Neither would we expect a Frenchman to salute our flag or stand for our anthem.
However, we are all Americans, no matter how divided by politics and politicians, so negating that one similarity means you're rejecting the community of your country.
Kaepernick couldn't even say why. He was just doing what his Muslim girlfriend ordered and didn't want to say that.
