The issue is not about comparing the relative magnitude of the problems of this country, it's that pedowood routinely tells Trump voters they are deplorable while they lead extremely sinful (and often criminal) lives. Same goes for HRC and their cabal.

The logic seems to be that 1) some people in Hollywood are sexual predators therefore 2) nobody in hollywood should say anything. Never mind the fact that there are sexual predators in every business, not the least of which is politics. And by the way, Trump was accused by something like 15 people. Spacey was accused by 1, albeit a minor. I'm merely pointing out how stupid this is as a political victory to celebrate. That point should be made in a thread where people are celebrating this as a political victory.

What about it? They have been exposed, some clergy has been jailed and the churches have paid out millions and millions of dollars in damages. Everyone knows about the major hypocrisy and criminality by some of the clergy. It's been major news for years and loads of movies, sitcoms and documentaries have been made about it.

Whereas until this past month - Hollywood (and the Media) has been protecting this predatory behavior among its ranks. All the while they morally scold Conservatives about their virtue and morals.

Hollywood needs the same spotlight that our churches rightfully got when their abuse was exposed.

It's a fair point that we can't label all of Hollywood (and it's liberal friends) as a bunch of immoral pervs. But that certainly didn't stop many on the Left and anti-religious spectrum from tarring the entire Catholic Church (and Christianity) as a bunch of pedos.

What I think makes the Hollywood scandal unique is that it appears it was an OPEN SECRET by many in the industry that people like Weinstein were abusing people all over the place. And we are just scratching the surface on how far this scandal goes. We've learned more in the last 7 days than we have in 7 decades.

I don't love Hollywood, and I wonder at the amount of time that people spend following pop-culture. However, I don't begrudge Hollywood types for sharing their opinion. They don't seem anymore 'holier than thou' than anyone else with an opinion. The difference is that our culture has decided to pay attention to everything that they say. Same goes for sports people. They make a lot of money. They can decide to take a knee if they want. It's really no different than anyone else with an opinion doing/saying what they want. I think what makes people mad is that other people pay attention to what the actors and athletes say.

It's not the age of the child, it's about the age of the adult.

A 26 year old man SHOULD know better than trying to fuck a 14 year old boy. He/She has much more authority and power over a child than a 17 year old does.
