If I didn't love my FA who works with my whole family, I'd leave this bank so fast.

Everytime I use my card it gets tagged, then I gotta call and answer 4 Experian Questions about cars I owned two decades ago.

They have retardedly low wire limits that were inadequate in 1985 terms.

Just messed the hell up, everything is a pain in the ass with them.

I have several large US bank accounts. The one I use the most because it gives me the least problems overseas and charges the least fees?

My Credit Union!

I have to say it's also a truly terrible place to work. I was there for a year and it was very depressing.

I'm not kidding, literally it's everytime I use my ATM card.

If 24 hours pass without me using it, it resets so the next time I use it the fraud department calls, even though I have my next two years of travel on record.

And then it's "Bob" (really Vivek from Mumbai) asking me if I ever had 555-123-4567 back in 1999 as a phone number.

I'm not exaggerating.

They used to do that to me, until I called them out on the bogus data they were using.
They qualify leads that's what they are doing. They would say "It's public information, and they are only using it to verify that I am still me."
But one of his questions asked something like what was the name of my first dog. Which he said my answer was wrong but the answer he had didn't look right.
So answered the question by using the answer I use for password verification and recovery. But not for them. I then told them I know damn well they are not using public records.
I even called the my bank branch and told them I was on to it, and if I ever get hassled again I would make a stink. That was about 4 years ago haven't had an issue since. It used to be every 3 to 6 months.

Twoscoops: If you have a FA (financial adviser?) at Wells Fargo you are giving away 1% of your net worth for nothing.

That's $500/year for a $500K account, $10,000/year for a $ 1 million account. Don't do it. I would see a 1. fee only financial planner (pay by hour, like lawyer, accountant) 2. use Vanguard, T. Rowe Pice , Fidelity financial planning. They are either free or can produce a more complete financial plan for a low price.

Re: Wells Fargo Credit card: Get the AAA Mastercard.

Re: Keeping large cash accounts in banks. This is lending your capital to a bank for nothing in return.

Clambo, my picks are doing better than the professional manager's this year so I hear ya.

BUT, this person who organizes the wealth for my entire extended family. I'm not really paying much for it, either. PLUS, she's in the neighborhood and does a whole lot of shit for my mom and because she's been with us for many years.

I've had terrible experiences with Chase and Wells Fargo. BofA has been okay at best. Stick to Credit Unions, or use a smaller or midsize bank.

Wells Fargo employee dies at work in Tempe office; body not found until days later

A Wells Fargo employee who died at a Tempe office wasn’t found until days later, authorities say.

According to Tempe police, 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme, who worked at the Wells Fargo corporate office near Priest Drive and Washington Street, scanned into work on Aug. 16 at 7 a.m. However, four days later, on Aug. 20, Tempe authorities then responded to the location for reports about a “subject down.”

Security at the building found Prudhomme dead inside the building, days after she clocked in. Authorities say no signs of foul play were found.

Arizona’s Family reached out to Wells Fargo and received the following statement:

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague at our Tempe office. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time. Counselors, through our Employee Assistance Consulting service, are available to support our employees. We are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in their investigation and will direct all further questions to them.”

Oh man, that's about as sad as it gets. I worked for Wells for a year as a contractor, and it was soul-crushing.

That's what's nice about private enterprise. The lead time for a dead vaxxed employee is seldom over a week. If she had worked for the government, she would still be at the desk a year later.
