I want to hear why a clear thinking adult would be anti-Trump.

What is your most well-reasoned anti-Trump argument? If you think he's a liar, please post the video. Or if you disagree with legislation he pioneered or executive orders, please post a link and reasoning.

How exactly was Obama bad for the economy?
PrivilegedtobeWhite says
Look at his trade deals.

What is good about the trade deals? He folded like a cheap suit on them--the US gained nothing.

Obama is better for the environment, but much worse for the economy. I agree with the individual mandate for healthcare, but disagree with the level of socialization of health plans (i.e., making people with money subsidize the poor too much). His pompousness can be annoying, so I'll give you that. I love his transparency though and the fact that the dude works his butt off to get stuff done. Look at his trade deals. Overall, Trump is a WAY better president than Obama but certainly not perfect. You never get everything you want in a president or government.

this seems fair.

They wont bring up specifics though.

I've been nothing but specific and you've ignored all my points.

That is typical Trump supporter behavior.

Their brainwashing is significantly lowering intellect of debate in our country. Very sad

This I can agree with. The Koch Bros. and Trump have succeeded in brainwashing 40% of the population.

Provide support for one of your 20 bullet points. Saying TRUMP IS A LIAR is a tantrum not a criticism. Choose a topic, then support it please. So far you havent done that

I didn't say he was a liar--I said these 12 statements he made last night are lies. I chose a topic and supported it.

Not to mention that I chose the topic of his tax plan and explained to you exactly why it is horrible policy.

Lol, no you didnt. You are arguing that tax rates shouldnt be 100% BUT the level that Trump lowered them from is tyrannical. You didnt explain why or how you came to that conclusion besides FUCK TRUMP. Do you have rationale or is your argument just FUCK TRUMP?

A complacent, disarmed Kim, as opposed to one who wants to bomb us.

What do you feel we lost in the deal? Do you not remember the missile scare? That was where team Obama left us and where HRC was taking us.

Clearly, Trump has achieved tremendous success as compared to Pussy Cat Obama. NK literally gained nuclear weapons while Pussy Cat Obama shivered. Obama could not even get China's cooperation. Useless President. Put the world in a very unsafe position.

My lord. OK.

Trump said wages are rising for the first time in 19 years. That is false

Trump said the trade deficit with China was $500 billion. That is false.

I can continue if you want. My favorite was him completely making up a bill that he claimed Feinstein wrote called the Open Borders Bill.

Post the video or transcript of his quote so we can see what he was talking about. These are often the types of comments that Trump says in a braggadocious way, and not meant to be taken exactly as worded (this is called nuance, learn it).

Ex: Trump yesterday in his speech said something like "X never does that, which is more than Y." Obviously never cant be more than anything. Trump just speaks like this. Amazing how his supporters understand his communication style just fine, yet those looking for outrage find it everywhere.

I see no evidence of any of this. Do you actually believe the stuff you say ?

Everyone knows these geopolitical games are complicated, and the superficial part that we see has little to do with the deeper strategic game going on. NK has had Nukes since when ? They went in to a saber rattling mode with TRump, bacause they now had long range missiles to test, and becasue Trump campaigned on possibly removing our bases from Korea and eastern Europe. And probably becasue they noticed that Trump is very friendly to and at least seems to admire ruthless and evil murderous dictators. So he played a little game with Trump. And look at what he got ? !

https://tradingeconomics.com/china/balance-of-trade Simply looking at the charts and saying $500 billion isnt far off. May be more fair to say $400 billion/yr, but $500 billion was surpassed more than a few times, and is basically accurate for the purposes of his speech.

He got put in his place, and the world is a far safer place because of it. This is why Trump was named as a potential peace prize recipient. Trump actually deserves it (or he may rather), unlike Obama who got it for being black.

Wtf ?

Sure he's not threatening war anymore. But you really think the threats were real, and not just trash talk ? I'll admit there are good aspects. And it's something Obama couldn't have done. Can you imagine the field day the right wing media machine would have had, if Obama met with and kissed Kim's ass on the global stage the way Trump did ?

Think about that for a minute.

Many say the deal was far better for Kim than for us. I guess unless you actually believed that Kim was about to nuke us.

Trump really has achieved a historic breakthrough – for the Kim dynasty
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jun/12/trump-nuclear-north-korea-kim-jong-un

So Kim leaves Singapore having gained much of the international legitimacy the dynastic dictatorship has sought for decades. But the gifts from Trump did not end there. He also announced an end to US military exercises in the Korean peninsula – the “war games” which he said were costly and, deploying language Pyongyang itself might have used, “very provocative”. Trump also hinted at an eventual withdrawal of the 28,000 US troops stationed in the Korean peninsula.

And what did Kim give Trump in return for this bulging bag of goodies? The key concession, the one Trump repeatedly invoked, was a promise of “complete denuclearisation”. Trump held this aloft as if it were a North Korean commitment to dismantle its arsenal, with work beginning right away. To be sure, such a commitment would be a major prize, one that would merit all the congratulation a beaming Trump was heaping on himself. But this is where you need to look at the small print.

First, the text itself says merely: “The DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.” Kim has promised not “complete denuclearisation” but simply “to work toward” that end. Negotiators the world over know is the fudging language you use when you’ve extracted something less than a real commitment. Kim has offered only an aspiration, with no deadline or timetable, not a concrete plan.

Again, the timeline for your perusal

Yes--I think the President should know what the trade deficit with China is. That's pretty damn important.

You can be sure he had thought long and hard about it and consulted many Washington wonks and economists about the pros and cons of a trade war with China.

You can be sure that Trump did none of that. AS experts working close to Trump have often acknowledged, he seems to have the understanding on these issues of a 5th grader.

Hey, I get it. That's very attractive to a lot of people (I wonder why ?).

No President can expect to know everything. It's not a high school geography test. That's why they have teams of advisors, who's job is to know the details.
Trump knows how to make things happen, how to negotiate, how to get things done. That's the President 's job.

Trump ended that threat and SoKo Moon suggested he earned a peace prize for his efforts. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-southkorea-trump/south-korea-president-says-trump-deserves-nobel-peace-prize-idUSKBN1I10OD
