Gab has spent the past 48 hours proudly working with the DOJ and FBI to bring justice to an alleged terrorist. Because of the data we provided, they now have plenty of evidence for their case. In the midst of this Gab has been no-platformed by essential internet infrastructure providers at every level. We are the most censored, smeared, and no-platformed startup in history, which means we are a threat to the media and to the Silicon Valley Oligarchy.

Gab isn’t going anywhere.

It doesn’t matter what you write. It doesn’t matter what the sophist talking heads say on TV. It doesn’t matter what verified nobodies say on Twitter. We have plenty of options, resources, and support. We will exercise every possible avenue to keep Gab online and defend free speech and individual liberty for all people.

You have all just made Gab a nationally recognized brand as the home of free speech online at a time when Silicon Valley is stifling political speech they disagree with to interfere in a US election.

The internet is not reality. TV is not reality. 80% of normal everyday people agree with Gab and support free expression and liberty. The online outrage mob and mainstream media spin machine are the minority opinion. People are waking up, so please keep pointing the finger at a social network instead of pointing the finger at the alleged shooter who holds sole responsibility for his actions.

No-platform us all you want. Ban us all you want. Smear us all you want.

I believe if the Conservative cards line up November 6th.
The first of the year our courts are going to be stuffed with Civil Rights cases that will bankrupt every Liberal institution in America.

They smugly act with impunity because the Left believes the laws they have championed for over 60 years. Shields them from political malpractice, while is the perfect weapon to stifle, shun and silence political opposition.

It has already happened to me once, when I created a list of all the tech companies in SF and one of them ( https://www.primitivelogic.com/ ) demanded that I not link to their home page.

They told me to remove the link. I ignored that, knowing my rights.

Then they told my ISP, Digital Ocean, that patrick.net was in violation of the DMCA and had to be taken down. This in itself was a crime committed by Primitive Logic.

Digital Ocean, being lazy and skittish of even the slightest controversy, told me to remove the link or be taken down. After a lot of determined arguing on my point, in which I clearly quoted the law and precedent, patrick.net was allowed to remain.

But the lesson stuck: you cannot trust any ISP to do the right thing. We must have some uncensorable distributed mechanism for evading all forms of censorship.

I know that a truly uncensorable network will be abused by doxxers, people who make threats, and other bad actors, but freedom of speech is so important that there really is no other way to guarantee it.

This is why Tech needs some regulation, with the regulator being able to drop fines on asses for breaking them.

otherwise, they will always pick on the little guy for being controversial; easier to give him an ultimatum then refuse a request from any kind of more powerful interest.
