I always have to respect seeing somebody else talk truth to power no matter how low or high their status is. The sarcastic irony is more bitter than me.
Generation X here I think. We need to fix this shit before we die.
4th Turning screed states Gen-X is a 'fixer' generation. Then again it also claims Millennials are a 'hero' generation, like their WWII counter parts so there is that.

I'll tell you this, my parents are the Silent Generation. I'm a LOT like them. Boomers, they are difficult to communicate with.
I hope my generation is up to the task set before us.
My parents were too. I didn't always agree with them while growing up, but I agree with them now.
I think it just takes a while to see how things really are, how pervasive corruption is in the government.
But then, they were from Chicago where government corruption was and is an all-day every-day thing. They didn't suspect government corruption. They knew it to be a fact.

Haha, there's a quote attributed to Mark Twain which may be misattributed, but it's great:
“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
Took me to 35 to realize that although my parents were wrong in a few ways, I was far more wrong than them. I think they were a little intimidated by me because I was "smart" - or they incorrectly thought that of me. Today, we are nearly in full agreement with everything. I have, for example, been able to convince them that George W. Bush LIED to start the Iraq war - that was a big issue between us for 15 years.

Lol, that's exactly right.
Wow, Nicki Minaj is doing something very good for human rights on the one hand.
And on the other hand, we have communists fighting for global corporations to dominate the world.
WTF

Ditto with the 567th MI Group 1LT to his right in the blue with white dots shirt. Holster in the front pocket.
EDIT: And turnaround guy with the plain blue shirt has a holster in his front pocket as well.
Who's "AW"?

Anthony Wiener, her ex-husband.
LOL. "Hero? I can't even right now."

But my parents are brain washed by Fox News.
