Because you can create multifocal fires rapidly over large areas without detection from high in the air rather than racks of drones with accelerants? Doesn't make any sense at all to use a high altitude airplane when you can cumbersomely backpack/drone unpredictable accelerants into remote areas? Also, drones are just so undetectable and untraceable compared to high altitude airplanes, what with all those accelerants and drone remnants and all, when a DEW requires no accelerants at all and leaves no other visible signature. DEW will act quickly over large areas while your proposed method is temporally and logistically cumbersome.
