Well, at least it's not the Swiss Cross.
You know how you die in a crucifixion? You become so exhausted that your head lies on your chest causing you to suffocate,
Then why did they break the legs to make the crucified guy die sooner? I heard (in Catholic School!) that on the cross you had to push up with your legs to breathe, and the Romans broke the legs at times to speed up the death.
