Definitely. The USSR dwarfed the US effort in Europe in WW2 by throwing 360 divisions at the Germans. If fact, if the US stayed out, the USSR would have not only conquered Germany, but the rest of Europe as well.
I think our main contribution after WWII was the Marshall Plan, and setting up bases that were first to defend against the Red Army, and later, were used to occupy and subjugate Europe.
NATO doesn't serve a purpose now. I think all European bases should be closed. If Russia DOES enter a European nation with force, it's easy enough to reopen the bases, cheaper than keeping them active.
In a post Roman Sheremeta asks:"According to Trump Russia defeated Hitler?"
True! Because over 75% of German troops killed in WWII were killed by Russia. In Operation Bagration alone, in June 1944, an entire German army - Army Group Center with 38 Divisions - was completely wiped out and ceased to exist. In contrast, the Allies who landed in Normandy in June 1944, faced less than 32 German divisions stretching from Scandinavia to Italy.
It's not a glitch, it's a feature for the Intel assassins. You computerized wonder cars have kill switches. At least they didn't crash a whole airliner full of people to get one person.
That ability was removed just prior to the 2016 election because Clinton wasn't doing that well, and there were plenty of people willing to point out what a blood soaked monster Hillary Clinton was. There were articles all over the place claiming getting rid of comments was a good thing because people were so "toxic" on them, and those poor reporters being harassed - well, they were harassed for lying and promoting propaganda.
I remember this well, because it was the last time I bothered to read articles in "mainstream press". The commenting sections never returned.
If you cannot give feedback, you're reading propaganda, and if you're censored with your feedback, you're reading propaganda.
2016 was the end of any credibility of the corporate media, they dug their grave deeper after 4 years of Russia this, and Trump that. It killed late night political shows as well.
Gee, what does this sound like? Familiar, huh? John Coleman 'The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations'. More clips from the book below. What Putin referred to who ruled the foreign occupied foreign city state of Washington DC were at least in part the 'Committee of 300'.

So Trump is right. Russia defeated Hitler.
