I went to Egypt in college, I took a bus from downtown Cairo out to Giza to see the pyramids. The interesting part is that the bus doesn't stop, it just slows down at the "stops". You have to jump on, and not everyone makes it. And the bus was packed like that picture from the Philippines, only not as colorful, all dusty and reeking of BO and diesel. Complete zoo of a situation, but seems to be their normal life.

Many people in the US seem to not know how 1/2 the world's population lives. I was watching old Amazing Race seasons with a girlfriend... the episodes in India, Bangladesh, and various parts of South America and Africa were quite an eye opener to her. I was shocked not because of what was depicted, but because those countries allowed the filming to take place. Unfortunately, Biden is importing that here as quickly as he can.

The idiot "students" at prestigious universities seem to think it's great to have people from all over the world. They don't realize that these schools are extremely selective about who they allow in. How would the existing students who pay a fortune feel if their schools just announced that any person from anywhere in the world could attend for free if they could somehow manage to get to the campus.

Just finished up beers at a small work function - a co-worker from the bay area was in town. He looks almost exactly like the geico caveman. Same hair, beard, only needs a small modification to his nose and forehead and he could totally pull it off for Halloween.

Of course I didn't say anything but I've been wanting to be that guy for Halloween for ages. In a way, I was sort of jealous I couldn't like like that for one day.
