EDIT: Speaking of Tate, one has to realize he spent most of his life outside the USA. He was interviewed and didn't know the age of consent in the US, said it was 15 (like Romania, but with limitations, it's 15 with a 6 year age gap and prohibited in supervisor/teacher-younger relationships)
