I remember thinking that Trump was some asshole on teeeveee, a megalomaniacal narcissistic asshole moron and was happily surprised that he might have been all those, but not a moron. It was so nice not to have a moron as president. It's been so fucking long. Just one guy that pointed out the lies. It was so nice.

I hope I'm wrong to be as cynical as I am, but I've never been wrong before. There are no good guys. Putin very well might remove a criminal syndicate in Ukraine, but it will be replaced by a new one, that will be just as evil - that's best case scenario.

Even if Putin is doing the right things for the wrong reason, he is doing them, and in the part of the world where they need to be done. Our own country is an embarrassment (a vicious, rabid attack dog off the leash for Switzerlan) and we are in no position to preach to anybody until and if we are restored.
