People who want to bring you to the truth will go out of their way to demonstrate that the "crazy thing" they are saying, is correct. They will show you their reasoning, their sources, their logic.

Be suspicious of any claim, and source the data. There are a lot of people who are just dying to tell you what they think is "the truth". I'm kind of one of them.
