Lol. I think it has to do with his long face with big nose and ears. You can't wear a full Windsor with face features like that.

I'd have to see him with a full Windsor knot, I just think the half looks sloppy.

If you're going to wear a tie, do it right.

I know it's entirely superficial, but a half Windsor just looks lazy. A tie serves no purpose other than formality. If you're going to go formal, be formal.
