Those planes were not empty. Also people who think they understand the science of buildings collapsing(outside of controlled demolitions).
Just look at the Miami Beach condo collapse, That collapse was not typical of how buildings of that same size, collapse in other instances around the world.
Look at buildings after Earthquakes, or buildings in India and China that has collapsed over the years due to shoddy construction. There are always large monolithic slabs of concrete among that rubble, that was a portion of a large wall. Every bit of rubble in the Miami beach condo collapse was smaller than 12 inches. More over, every bit of furniture, and house wares were pulverized, you would expect to see at least Bed Mattresses, or sofa cushions, they don't seem like they would shatter and break up in a building collapse such as that. And it wasn't even that tall of a building. That building collapse looked nothing like a pancaked building you see in an earthquake aftermath. Where the floors are all intact they are just condensed and stacked upon each other.

There has never been a huge building/s constructed and compromised to learn the science of building collapses. We have preconceived notions based on what we see after a calamity.
SO when people get on the horn and harp about the Twin Towers and start yammering on about how buildings collapse from a controlled demolition vs a natural or not so natural uncontrolled collapse. Well the Miami beach result was classic textbook controlled demolition result. But we all know there were no explosives that brought that building down.
