There's more people aware that the government constantly, and perniciously lies today than there were 20 years ago. Who here knew that George H. Bush lied to get us into the FIRST Iraq war by 2000, 10 years later?
It's not getting worse, it's getting better. There was no push for censorship on the internet 20 years ago, because too few people used the Internet for information back then and it was extremely difficult to get people to consider, MAYBE, they've been lied to about something. That's not true today. Censorship is a sign of weakness, not strength and we can see which corporations are on which sides. Google, Facebook, Twitter, Paypal, Amazon, Netflix, Disney, blah blah blah are all dooming themselves because they either engage i censorship or promotion of stupidity, or both.
We will know we have succeeded when everything the public believes is a lie.
