They need more complete annotation. AIDS isn't a virus, it's the presenting syndrome. The nominal virus came later, but even that was questionable because, as with Covid 19, nothing was effectively isolated from a sick person, cultured, and then shown to cause the disease, which is required to show the causative nature of a pathogen. Neither the government nor any scientific labs have samples of Covid 19 isolated from patients and cultured that can be studied, all requests have been told they have nothing, just immune tests from presumed fragments but no whole, intact viral particles, and, of course, the fake PCR test.

Some credible scientists think the attributed "HIV virus" was smoke and mirrors as well. So that begs the question, what was AIDS and what caused it?

CDC is like a forensic pathologist who lies about evidence on the stand under oath. If a pathologist can be shown to have lied about one evidence on purpose, all verdicts from him are considered invalid and all claims from him have to be re-examined and all decisions based on his testimony thrown out. Everything CDC and NIH have done at least for the last 60 years have to be questioned.

I think we have yet to know what HIV/AIDS actually was, since the CDC hasn't been trustworthy since forever.

Not true, you should read up on NGS DNA sequencing. Many thousands of whole human genomes are read routinely every day (in less than one day) with 3 billion (6 billion if you count both alleles) DNA 'letters'. These viruses are small and are being sequenced.

They just use PCR because it's quicker, cheaper and easy to manipulate as a false positive.
