Strange how judges allow years and years of delay while lawyers are feasting on legal fees from their road kill clients, but suddenly pop to life and act almost instantaneously when there is a cover up for political purposes. Since there is no such thing as 'speedy justice', then I guess 'speedy injustice' will have to do.

I don't believe his claim he did it to get paid more. He sent that text as a decoy in case he got caught.
I seem to recall a pic of him w/ cumala (in some kinda of activist group, all wearing the same tshirt) was taken a week or so before this "attack".
I also recall cumala's anti-lynching bill was up for vote maybe 2 or so weeks after the "attack" where a black man was conveniently lynched w/ a noose by "dis maga country". The bill passed, because who could possibly vote against it in the immediate wake of something like this? Was a special prosecutor. He embarrassed CPD big time. I think he gets 6 months and serves 3. Knowing about 4-5 Chicago cops, this enraged them. Total waste of resources when 20+ people are getting shot or killed every week in the city. I personally think he should get the max sentence regardless of criminal history being clean. Resources taken away for his lie could potentially give provable evidence of a murder happening. You don't play around with false police reports, especially of this nature.

Possibility. I thought if he obviously lied under oath the judge could just charge it on the spot. We'll see if that can happen at sentencing. I think the states attorney would have to charge that prior to them arresting him. Kim Foxx let him off in the beginning, so not optimistic she does anything else like charging perjury. Given there's a guilty verdict he's likely going to be wiped clean financially unless he has some sort of insurance on income.
