The difference is that traditional religions tend to be conducive to reproduction, whereas Leftist ideologies and Satanism (Karl Marx was a well known follower of Satanism) are self-destructive. I suppose, both have their places in human evolution: the normal phase of population growth, and the periodic purging. Fascism is actually a brand of socialism: both Mussolini and Hitler were socialists, as were their followers ("German Socialist Workers' Party" and "Nazi" being a short-hand for National Socialism). Further more, what Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Kim eventually built were all bona fide Fascist regimes under the banner of Socialism. So Fascism has its roots in the political Left, and what the political Left lead to when in power is Fascism.

As for Nationalism and Supremacism, well, that is the foundation of religions: whether national founding myths, or the "Chosen People" ideology that started all three of the big monotheistic religions of today. Too much of that can be self-destructive, but not having any of it can detrimentally affect reproduction rate: e.g. the classic joke about children of "Reformist Jews" are no longer Jews; furthermore, Reformist Jews have much lower birth rate than Fundamentalist Jews and Conservative Jews; similarly for various shades of Christians and Muslims. IMHO, women usually can't care less about Nationalism or Supremacism (for themselves), which are tools that men use to convince women to reproduce with themselves: when you can't afford a trinket to keep the girl occupied while you while you try to get her into your bed, convince her your dick is God's gift to humanity might just do the trick.
