Just stop discriminating.

Discrimination isn't a bad thing. Be discriminating. If you have a company and think white people are entitled worthless assholes? Fine - stop hiring them. Same for blacks, jews, hispanics, whatever. If you're wrong, well, you've placed your company at a disadvantage with respect to a company that is right. Your company will limp along or fail in time.

You want to fix our system? Let INSURANCE companies dole out driver's licenses, and let INSURANCE companies allow you to own firearms. Make it an economic force.

Corporations want money, governments - they just want control and they don't care about money.

Money is the driving force to equalization. I know that liberals don't think that's true, which is because they don't think about it.

I'm one who believes the Civil Rights Act really put a hurting on meritocracy. I agree, we should all be able to discriminate. White businesses would have been at a disadvantage if/when another business came along and served/hired anyone who had value regardless of race or any other factor. But no, government fucks everything up and just gets us all hating each other.

Tell me more how insurance companies wouldn't derail the 2A. Insurance companies would simply turn things into a racket also. How does money force equalization? I don't see it.

No chance, not from what we've seen recently. This is why I can't be a libertarian. Corporations already have too much power and have pledged their allegiance to woke.

Furthermore, insurance companies are likely to decide the payouts from accidents and any potential lawsuits against the insured (thus insurer) have an easy answer - don't license anybody, or only license those with immense wealth, thus effectively cancelling the 2nd amendment in practice. And/Or they would require obscene premiums like $1000/year and up just to own a single firearm. There are seniors in bad neighborhoods who own their homes free and clear, living on a Very Fixed Income, Jerry, and $1000+/year to own a .25 Auto for self defense would be untenable, making them choose between food/medicine and physical safety.

Just like Mass Sheriffs, NYC, NJ law enforcement/agencies only give permits to VIPs... so nobody can say "Sheriff McClusky issued a permit and the permitee killed his brother in law over a business dispute with the firearm." Nevermind that McClusky issued 20,000 firearm licenses during his tenure as Sheriff over the years but only one person did something wrong with it, and that person had absolutely nothing in their background, mental, criminal, etc. that would lead anybody to believe they would commit a crime. Insurance companies might very well follow the same tack.

Civil Rights guarantees Democrats at least one jerryrigged district in any state with more than 4-5 CDs and with any kind of a black population

They will make me take tests someday to renew my license, states already discriminate against old drivers.

They should. It's a scientific fact that aged people lose perception and reaction time, some faster and more profound than others. I have no problem with annual renewals after age 70, a simple parking lot drive test combined with vision and hearing. The number of bad elderly drivers is underestimated in the current system, primarily because rearenders in most places are assumed to be the fault of the car driving behind.

Living in Florida, I can heartily attest to the "Ooops, missed the Boca Grande 55+ complex entrance. *SLAM THE BRAKE*" or the "let me get left... OOOPS! somebody was in the left lane" moments with a very decrepit driver.

I actually rescued an 80-year old stubborn son of a bitch, stuck in his new Nissan, just sitting in the middle of the road, confused. Happened a few weeks ago. I got in contact with his 50-something niece who had washed his hands of him, took him back to his place, it was a sty. He just didn't have the oompf to keep things up, much less drive.

He wasn't an asshole, just a stubborn New Yorker. The guy showed me all the awards he got during 911 for volunteering and shit from the NYPD and other groups. But he was going to be damned if he had to have a housekeeper or take an uber. He was a Silent Gen guy who handled all his shit his whole life and was in denial about his physical/mental decline. Not a money issue, I wasn't snooping but I saw his pension check, $4k/month and his place is paid off. Smells like urine because he doesn't get to the john in time. Eats nothing but ice cream sandwiches and salami.

Look at our President, FFS. Would you want to be ridin' with Biden?

Nomination for perhaps the worst thing possible. Insurance mandates are a racket in themselves. The uninsured get subsidized by the insured. Besides that, people should not cede their rights to any group, whether it be government or private, no one has the right to infringe on your rights.

We have plenty of laws and courts to settle these disputes. The court might not prevent crime and accidents, but at least civil and criminal penalties can and should be implemented to hold people accountable. And above that people need to be taught they are accountable for themselves. We can’t coddle people and say it’s ok to F up. But we also cannot take away the rights of people who are innocent because others make mistakes.
