The ongoing negotiations over whether to use massive military hardware, such as Abrams tanks or Bradley Fighting Vehicles , as a prop for Trump’s “Salute to America” is just one of many unfinished details when it comes to the celebration planned for Thursday, according to several people briefed on the plan, who requested anonymity to speak frankly.

White House officials intend to give out tickets for attendees to sit in a VIP section and watch Trump’s speech, but did not develop a distribution system before much of the staff left for Asia last week, according to two administration officials. Officials are also still working on other key crowd management details, such as how to get attendees through magnetometers in an orderly fashion.

Traditionally, major gatherings on the Mall, including inauguration festivities and a jubilee commemorating the start of a new millennium, have featured a designated event producer. But in this case, the producer is the president himself.

I love how we waste taxpayer money on shit like this on a daily basis (sporting events, parades, etc.) and this is now a fucking news story. We fucking PAID the NFL up until recently to have troops there. Why it was cool under any president is ludicrous, but now it's a problem. Good, that's their right to do that. But I'm not sure what boycotting is going to do? He's still the president and will be for the remainder of his term outside of a health issue or the a word.

At some point maybe, just maybe the Democrats and left can stop pouting and just find a viable, intelligent candidate. If Trump is sooooooo awful this should be an easy task. Yet from my brief viewing of the first Dem debates, there's not one I would vote for. That could change as the field thins out, but those debates were awful. But nah, let's get worked up over a parade.

Eventually there's no foot left after it has been shot enough.

Many lies get republished on twatter every day because people don't research claims anymore. If you want people to take you seriously in discussions, at least research a bit. No matter what side you're on. They have sinks and fountains on top of the toilets serving potable drinking water. Plus the non potable toilet water will make you far less likely ill than the 'drinking' water where they come from.

I don't care if people don't like the parade and debate it's popularity. But the detention facility workers do a heck of a job and are much better friends to the migrants than pretty much anyone else out there. Anybody who isn't housing an immigrant (family) at their home should keep quiet on this instead of insulting and doxxing these hardworking Americans and spreading untruths.

Wasn't talking about jazz maybe should have made that clearer. But people like the woman spreading lies on Twitter which was posted here. There are currently all kinds of armchair self proclaimed migrant defenders - not on patnet at least I hope - taking their cell phones to detention centers and trespassing and harassing every officer, filming them and asking for their names. These people are criminals and deserve to go to jail or get harmed. And they are slowing down the proper care for those migrants in these centers with their bullshit.

What's the alternative to closing the camps? None. You either have to completely close the border and defend it with armed force or you have to have these centers until you can either find a home for the migrants maybe some relatives or you send them back on safe transportation.

2. Medication = Why didn't you bring your own supply? Why is the US Taxpayer responsible for fake asylees fleeing massively increased standards of living (over a generation) to a free ride in the USA? That's no oppression.

There is no reason as to why US should admit ANY persons without proper documents through Mexico or Canada borders. They should ask for asylum in the first country after getting out from their country of origin (assuming political oppression/war), which is international standard. Economic migrants do not have to be admitted.
