I liked Sean. He was very tongue in cheek.
My favorite Bond was Pierce Brosnan. He played the role seriously and had that suaveness that none of the other Bonds had.
Casino Royale with Daniel Craig was the last Bond movie I've seen. It was way too serious and I don't enjoy scenes of sadistic torture.
The Bond franchise may have jumped the shark.

Read some of the reviews about even a good film such as, "Dragged Across Concrete"; such as Vultures, 'Your Basic, Boneheaded Right-Wing Action Movie'. The main objection seems t be that Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn star in it, ignoring that Tory Kittles is the ultimate winner. Phrases such as White Male Rage, Euro-trash and other racist mantras get tossed in. The Hollywood PC police are determined to keep Hollywood that way and undo decades of prior discriminator film making with contrived, forced mandatory PC plots, casting, etc. And that is all that matters, Entertainment value, realism, profit be damned.

They did this wrong. They should have run another 007 movie with the usual British white male, but have Lashana Lynch as 009 working with him. Then they could have created a new series. With the current approach, they're just pissing off white males with yet another show of disrespect.

Real spies are supposed to blend in, appearing innocuous without anything in particular drawing attention to them, and able to shelter in place indefinitely to achieve their goals. The flamboyant types are dead meat almost right away, except in fiction.

I think Hollywood considers this movie progressive and supporting women's equal opportunities, but it has the side effect of disenfranchising white males and in a sense it is disrespectful.

The UK’s Daily Mail reports that British actress Lashana Lynch will take over from Craig as codename 007 in the as-yet-untitled film. The movie will reportedly see Craig retain the title role, however, being called out of retirement in Jamaica for one last mission. If previous trends are anything to go by – and if the move pays off – Lynch may then take over fully for the 26th movie.

The 34-year-old actress has faced criticism from progressives for accepting roles that don’t match her personal characteristics, most notably as a transgender man in the upcoming film Rub & Tug, as well as an Asian woman in the 2017 film Ghost In The Shell.
“You know, as an actor, I should be allowed to play any person, or any tree, or any animal because that is my job and the requirements of my job,” she said in an interview with As If magazine.
