You know Chicago area well enough I believe. There are just certain people and parts of the city you don't deal with. I did for 15 years. Visitors go to Navy Pier, Wrigley Field, Museum Campus, McCormick Place, etc. They simply don't see the dark side. It's dark.

I literally drove a beater car on purpose for 15 years because I didn't want to get car jacked. Always had a knife or blunt object in the car. Wasn't gonna dick with Chicago gun laws and victim becomes the criminal. Never dressed fancy or wore my watches. We had tenants that scared the fuck out of me if I'm being honest. I didn't deal with them often myself, but when I did I kept my head on a swivel.

Basically zero shock a Chicago tenant would kill their landlord. There's likely unreported battery of landlords across the city. Chicago makes evictions a pain in the ass. I'd never own investment property there personally. Generally takes a quarter/90 days to get people out legally. Ain't cheap either.

Here is the reality: the black community has a profound problem with knife crime, crime and violence in general. Yes, I said it. Yes, I’m white, and no, I don’t care what you think about that. By all means, let us have the debate as to why this might be the case. I will concur (as will David Lammy) that absent fathers are a problem. I will agree that gang culture is a major issue for young black men. I would also suggest you cast a sceptical eye over a ‘culture’ which glorifies drugs and violence, reprehensible black ‘role models’ the rapid influx of illegal immigrants, almost half of whom gravitate to the capital, alongside genuinely questioning the notion of equality. But what I refuse to ignore are the facts. Knife crime in London is a black issue, and if you believe Trevor Phillips can say that but I cannot, you’re not only mistaken—you are a considerable part of the problem.

@CovfefeAnon One thing that I was first exposed to by @Steve_Sailer is the idea of using compilations or lists made for one purpose to investigate something else entirely

This is a great investigative technique because people don't create an entire internally consistent false world, they'll just lie about one thing in particular but these lies get exposed when they try to speak honestly about something else entirely

There are plenty of examples of Steve doing this and coming up with very interesting conclusions (and you should buy his book to see them!) but here's one that stand out to me

When you see some "random" crime story from NYC about some black serial subway assaulter you'll always read a bit in the story about how "he's been arrested 23 times and had an outstanding warrant for felony assault". This is a bare fact but this one bare fact actually reveals a (barely) hidden world - one where blacks aren't "overpoliced" (as progressives will assert) - but one where actually the system *ignores black crime as much as it can*

That one "minor" tidbit of fact in those stories reveals an entire hidden world... if you're able to think through the implications and if you have in your head a better model of the world to fit those facts into

Same thing happened a few years ago at the public school where I was teaching

AP knocked out, several other prison riot level fights broke out over a period of about two months and ended up on the local news

Administration finally banned cell phones, not because they made teaching the students impossible (which they did) but because too many parents were seeing what was happening in the school

The entire time we were told that we had to reduce the number of suspensions, even in the case of violence, using “restorative justice”because too many minority students were impacted

The school was majority minority so almost all suspensions were of poc

The solution was basically “we never discipline anyone who isn’t filmed caving someone’s head in” because otherwise we’re racist

I know he's a little guy, but did he at least punch back? Not that he deserved it but I always have my head on a swivel in cities or in busy bars. And yes, blacks are the first I profile to be wary of in cities. And white trash, which is more what I deal with in my rural area. A “woke” Ohio judge has come under fire after he released a suspect back onto the streets just three days before she murdered a 3-year-old child.

After the courts raised concerns about Bionca Ellis’s mental state, Rocky River Municipal Judge Brian Hagan chose to release her.

The judge argues that locking up Ellis would have violated her rights.

Three days later, she stabbed a toddler to death.

On June 2, 32-year-old Ellis allegedly stole a knife from a Volunteers of America Thrift Store.

She then headed to a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted, Ohio, about 15 miles west of Cleveland.

In the store, she came across 38-year-old Margot Wood and her 3-year-old son, Julian.

Ellis followed the mother and son throughout the store.

Surveillance footage shows she even tailed them into the parking lot.

Once outside, she launched an unprovoked attack against the toddler and his mom.

She stabbed young Julian in the face and back with the stolen knife as he sat helpless in the shopping cart.

Footage shows she also stabbed Margot as she attempted to move her child to safety.

Julian later died from his injuries.

Margot was wounded but is expected to survive.

Interestingly, police didn’t label the murder as a “hate crime,” instead insisting that the attack was “random.”

At a court hearing on Monday, Ellis smirked and laughed as she heard the horrific charges against her.

Julian’s father and Margot’s husband, Jared Wood, pleaded with the court:

“Do everything you can to keep this monster behind bars.”

Two teen suspects accused in the killing of a high school football player were formally charged and indicted Wednesday, the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office confirmed. The family of 18-year-old Elijah Dewitt is still awaiting justice in the case.

A grand jury indicted both suspects, 18-year-old Kemare Bryan and 19-year-old Chandler Richardson, on one count of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

A Gwinnett judge denied bond for Bryan and Richardson last October because they were allegedly a flight risk. The two were arrested in South Carolina just a week after the shooting.

The 18-year-old football player was found shot to death in the parking lot of Sugarloaf Mills Mall just outside a Dave & Buster's on October 5 last year.
