Free speech means all speech, even the kind that's reprehensible and you would never utter yourself. Why? Because when you start limiting what we can say, you put someone in charge of deciding what constitutes hate speech, rather than just letting the common sense of the general public who hear the person decide. And say that person in charge has an agenda(what!?), and wants to persecute a certain group, or anyone who disagrees with the powers that back them. This is what's known as a slippery slope.

It is also Orwellian as far as outlawing certain words or language. Its like newspeak out of Orwell's 1984.

Imagine: You're a black man with a constant simmering hatred of wypipo. Every day you fantasize about one of them dropping the magic no-no word in front of you so you can swoop to the rescue, phone in hand, and expose they racis ass to the world.

You'll go viral and be hailed across social media as a hero; a poor victimized melanated soul who took a stand against his vile oppressor and came out victorious! Maybe you'll even get an interview on national news!

Then one day you're sitting at a local family restaurant and it finally happens: the big moment. You turn around, camera app already launched, ready to pounce on dat whiteboi, only to discover, much to your disappointment, that it's a frail special needs kid who is barely aware of what's happening around him...

Oh well. Time to make lemons into lemonade.
