Government idiots. Of course a pickup is not as economical since it's main purpose is to haul shit around, not people.

This is all about prohibiting and killing the American self reliant, builder, entrepreneurial spirit.
Trucks represent freedom, and gives the owner that freedom. You don't have to pay the Big Box store extra to send a five time deported thug, high on synth pot to deliver your appliances and get Grandma rapped mutilated and burned. You don't have to work for a big company in a trade by hourly rate driving their fleet trucks, or ride in the back of their fleet trucks. They hate Trucks because they define Americans.
