Anyone wants to risk a bet on the eventual number of sick people? Dead people?

One of the most fun times I've ever had. Rented a pontoon boat in Pensacola Beach, FL. Took the boat east towards Ft. Pickens. Blue Angles started doing their practice while we were on the water. Next thing you know there's a pod of dolphins swimming with the boat. How much more America does that get... lol.

I take my sailboat out every year for Fleet Week in SF Bay. A couple of years ago we were motoring away from the crowd of boats in the middle of the bay and suddenly the Marine C5 flew 10 feet over the top of my mast. That was a rush!

I once was sitting on the beach in Coronado when one of these things took off from the strip at the end of that beach and went right over our heads. Rush is an understatement.

Trump suggests coronavirus aid to states could depend on sanctuary city policies.

The lockdown isn't even being obeyed, and as I said, it's the most vulnerable who are violating it the most, despite the Media/Teachers trying to blame kids (the least vulnerable).

GOV: STAY AT HOME.

.

MY MOTHER: I GOTTA PICK UP MY NEW PICTURE FRAME AT MICHAEL'S!!!!

Unfortunately, Just In Time Inventory means no reserves in times of crisis. It's not a policy that promotes resilience.

Absolutely. Just in Time Inventory is designed to maximize profits at the expense of resilience.

This is closely analogous to outsourcing manufacturing to China to maximize profits. That is also devastating for resilience (not to mention devastating for US manufacturing of course).

It's like going without insurance, just hoping nothing bad will ever happen. Not a good bet.

Funeral Directors in COVID-19 Epicenter Doubt Legitimacy of Deaths Attributed to Pandemic, Fear Numbers are 'Padded'

Project Veritas today released another video featuring conversations with funeral home directors and their staff throughout New York City questioning the number of deaths officially attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.

[Mamaroneck, N.Y.—April 30, 2020] Project Veritas today released another video featuring conversations with funeral home directors and their staff throughout New York City questioning the number of deaths officially attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In late April, a Project Veritas reporter spoke with Michael Lanza, the director of Staten
Island’s Colonial Funeral Home.

“To be honest with you, all of the death certificates are writing COVID on it, they’re writing
COVID on all the death certificates,” Lanza said.

Lanza said DeBlasio might see inflated COVID death tallies as a way to bring more money to New York City. “Whether they had a positive test or didn’t, so I think again this is my
personal opinion, I think like the mayor and our city--they’re looking for federal funding and the more they put COVID on the death certificate the more they can ask from the federal funds.”

UN Chief Says Pandemic Must Be Used To Deindustrialize West, Transition To Green Energy

‘We have a rare and short window of opportunity to rebuild our world for the better,’ he says

The head of the United Nations called for global leaders to “use the pandemic recovery” to roll out their global climate change agenda, including allowing fossil fuel companies to collapse and using taxpayer stimulus money to fund green jobs.

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said during the Petersberg Virtual Dialogue, a two-day international conference on global warming, in Berlin, Germany that the economic turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic presents a “rare and short window of opportunity” to accelerate their globalist 2030 Agenda project.

That explains the re-emergence of Greta. They really don't get how she comes across, do they?

If you want someone to mesmerize audience with tits and legs while she makes faces and tells lies then you got Fox’ sex dolls parade of expendable blondes

How about someone with something between the ears that knows something? The girl literally knows nothing about the topic beside talking points. Took a ride on a million dollar catamaran across the Atlantic that was probably running a diesel generator close to 24/7 in the ocean. There's not enough solar or wind on that boat crossing the north Atlantic that time of year and for the number of passengers. Completely tone deaf.

If that's the person people want as an activist, the mission is dead in intelligent people's minds. A high school aged girl, that's not even going to school is a joke. Looks are a non-factor in the message itself. Sure, people make fun of her, but that still doesn't mean she knows what she's talking about.

The Left doesn't get it.

The whole "Finger Waging Lecture by Kid" schtick isn't working anymore, but the Left keeps pushing it like it's a hot new way to convince people.

Here's another famous flop of a campaign - instantly mocked when it appeared in the Economist, in Airports all over Europe and the Middle East, etc.

She is actually doing something that matters.

Cutting school and spewing propaganda. Why should we listen to an uneducated jr high school dropout?

We have reached 20% of recovered cases (probably many more since reporting is lagging for obvious reasons). Germany now has only 20% active cases. We will get there within 2 weeks. We should open up the whole country asap with a few sensible restrictions in place.

Drinking Camel Urine for Coronavirus

An “Islamic medicine specialist” and director of a religious-scientific institution in Iran recently called on his countrymen to drink camel urine as the “best cure” for coronavirus and other ailments.

I made up a new term. “Social Distancing Warriors”.

Social Distancing Warriors are people that hate reopening places up, and have to get on Facebook and shout at people. They only get happy when everything gets locked back down.

The funny thing about all the "you're killing grandma" bullshit is all the talk leading up to this about "ok boomer" and the generation that can't wait for the old boomers to die off so they can have their way. Now we can't let grandma not wear a mask and "you can't go back to work because you'll kill grandma. Even though I wanted her dead a couple months ago."

@zzyzzx That is an amazingly accurate term!

You can just feel the same smug self-congratulation and flaming hatred for all who disagree. No debate allowed!

It gets bizzare. Last week on a hiking trail:

-- OMG, YOUR DOG IS OFF LEASH!!!
-- Yes, what's the problem - we are more than 200 feet from the entrance and the dog is under complete voice control. Exactly like the park rules say it should be.
-- BUT WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC AND WHAT IF YOUR DOG RUNS UP TO SOMEBODY CLOSER THAN 6 FEET??!!!!
-- Be a good witness, call the police and stay put until they arrive to take your statement. (rolleyes)

I'm extremely hopeful about reopening and getting the economy up again.

But at the same time, I'm understanding of concerns about a recurring flare up, especially when reopening states that were still on the increase for number of Covid cases.

If you consider these two extreme groups:

Group A) People seriously questioning the numbers of actual covid deaths, and questioning the degree to which this is not a hoax.

Group B) People that trust the experts and the government about when its safe to open back up fully

WE all have our opinions about which of the 2 groups is more guilty of simply believing what they want to believe, without facts and logic to back up their beliefs.

And this is while I will grant you that it is tricky, since at some level of danger, we would want to be open back up anyway.
