The authors argue that science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs at colleges and universities lacking female enrollment can be attributed largely to harsh grading policies in these fields. Their solution to increase the number of women's involvement in STEM is to standardize grading curves, in order to grade less "harshly." The insanity of this approach is to not only weaken standards for women but to weaken standards across the board.

When I was in my PhD program, there were two types of women. There were women who were incompetent and drawn to the field by lucrative fellowships. The boys were getting 22k a year stipend while the girls got $40k a year. There were also women who were amazing and could hang with anyone there. I married the latter.... The real women scientists despised the latter. Nevertheless, the incompetent were passed through the program and instantly set up with decent jobs. When the guys graduated....they didn't give a shit. In fact...they would prefer you don't get a job...so you can be forced to post-doc and still be a slave.

They fucking roll out the red carpet for women in science offering them more money and better jobs and they still want nothing to do with it.

Any equality defined by equality of results (rather than equality of opportunity) is profoundly unfair. It's a form of communism that destroys meritocratic incentives.
And in the case of feminism, it destroys the idea that women are as competent as men. If they were, why would they need special favors to get somewhere?
All they need is the same opportunity.

in some circles you would be called nazi, extreme right winger, white nationalist, or even LITERALLY HITLER for your observations.

I've already been called that. On the College Board AP Physics forums, they were questioning why girls don't go to graduate school for Physics. I had the gaul to suggest genetic disposition. When you offer them twice the money for less work and a set job...what more can you do?

The bee is satire. It's sad that we live in a time where I genuinely thought the headline was real until I saw the website domain.

Satire is only satire because it has a nugget of truth.

yup, there's plenty of real articles with similar headlines in recent years.

Unfortunately, the Babylon Bee is all too often art imitating reality.
