Never saw that coming. That's my take away. RIP TD. The defense attorney should lose his law license. So sad on many levels.
That's his job. He has to come up with the best defense/alternative explanation, even if remotely possible only. He would lose his license if he threw his client under the bus. He could refuse to take the case of course or excuse himself at any point for a different defender to take over, but both sides need representation. Otherwise we'd be no different than dictatorships without due process.
