You don't think that closing a company, laying off people, selling everything, then creating a new company, buying stuff, hiring new employees, resetting up everything is... a huge waste, when you know you are facing a temporary disruption, by opposition to getting a bit of help so as to keep things in place for a few months to the other side of the chasm?
It always amazes me the blind faith people have in some dogmas.

You could do a bit of infrastructure works, but are cooks gonna do it?
The part of the economy that is hit is precisely the part that would normally be hit last in a recession.
And you can't really fight a virus without hurting that service economy.
But keep in mind: if you fail to stimulate the economy, the bubble everything economy could pop, and the world plunge into a deflationary spiral that would be devastating.
So what do you do? Send people money?
