Face Coverings Required in Palo Alto effective on Wednesday, May 13
Today, the City Manager, acting as the Director of Emergency Services, issued an Emergency Order requiring face coverings to be worn by the public when outside their home for any type of activity or business in Palo Alto. The Order is a result of the City Council adopting the new requirements at their meeting last night and goes into effect on Wednesday, May 13 at noon. It aligns with similar approaches approved by Cupertino and Milpitas and is more stringent than the Santa Clara County’s Order that strongly recommends face coverings and requires face coverings when visiting essential businesses. Exceptions to Palo Alto’s Order include those engaging in outdoor recreation such as walking, hiking running or biking- as long as each person engaged in such activity maintains at least six feet of separation from others. Anyone wishing to report a violation of the City’s face covering order is welcome to call the Police Department’s 24-hour dispatch center at 650–329–2413.

Tried to get some shit at Home Depot for the first time in a month. There were exasperated looking customers and harried looking employees in the "curbside pickup" area and a LONG ASS line to get in. Decided to leave, F that!Where is a zombie flash mob when you need one?
Good news. Not all of the Bay Area is insane.
