China has conflicts with India, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, Singapore.
All of which would love to shave some of that exported labor from China, in a post conflict.

China has said, and threatened on a Cold War. I don't think it will come to arms being spent.
It would be the end of the CCP if they did. I think they would be sabotaged from within to stop the CPP.

What really matters is how much of our military industrial complex is domestic or in friendly countries, and how long any potential war lasts.

That's whats always worried me. If we ever got into a war of attrition with them, their manufacturing prowess would be tough to deal with.

Actually, the PRC have no allies at all, in the region. Even a country like Singapore, over 77% ethnic Chinese, does not see PRC as a partner but as a regional predator.

Now, if that's the independent Chinese majority nation-state within Asia-Pacific, call it the actual independent 'China', dislikes the PRC, then what about all the other Chinese diasporas in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc? If anything, the PRC has isolated itself from its own diasporic natives who have passports and families elsewhere.

If the US had this sort of relationship with Europe, there would be no NATO today. The US would be seen as a North American Nazi-Yankee state. In reality, it's quite the reverse.

China may have been actively trying to export its ethnic Han to other countries but most of those Asian countries like Philippines, etc. are very little ethnic Han. And they are not natural friends of China.

I suggest the China send all its unmarried males to Africa.

I don't see this as happening very easily. They'll send 20 million and they would be extremely fortunate to have 5 million surviving.

Other way around, ethnic Han have been leaving China, since the 1800s, with a larger segment leaving during and after WWII.

This has nothing to do with PRC. The world did not start after 1949.

The Chinese, like let's say the British, Irish, German, or Slavs in America or Canada, after a few generations, have a new homeland, independent of having to pay homage to either the Queen, Kaiser, or some Czar. Likewise, ethnic Chinese outside of PRC, don't want a passport in the Middle Kingdom.

Um, no. We don't have MAD with China: most of their missiles are intermediate-range. So they won't use the bomb first unless they are suicidal.

Whatever "war with China" means for the OP the most realistic scenario would be some kind of naval skirmish, most probably around Taiwan.

Xi complimented Trump yesterday on his rejection of Globalist and open borders.

I think Xi loves the power, and he's using communism to dispose of people he sees as a threat to keeping power.
But mostly to try to get America to make a huge Trade deal to keep all of the global supply chain production.
Then return to the perverted Capitalist society but with the iron fist of a Communist regime to keep power.

He's now seeing American left embracing Socialism for real, and suddenly being the Cold War spook angle loses it's provenance.
He knows that kind of Communism the American commies are calling for, would break and starve a nation in short order. Only small countries can hold out indefinitely, large countries can not survive under a failed Socialist Economy,

Xi's a sick fuck don't get me wrong, but he doesn't want a Chairman Mao role, nor does he want China to be the isolated Dragon city in the East.
If Xi was all in on Communism all of those ghost towns would have millions of people living in them for free or get Housing vouchers for them based on their social score.
We'll never see that, they want people to buy them so China's Wealth can recover.
