Then he goes on to say, that white people are wealthy today because they bought a house in Southern California and was able to flip it.

He didn't say flip it. He said pass it down or it doubled or trpled in a few decades.

More like someone bought a house for 15K in the 50s and it is worth 1.7 million today But inflation would have it at 180K or so. . It's entirely true that a huge part of an elderly persons wealth in so cal is in home equity.

Keep in mind, he's only agreeing that red lining and inability to get mortgages effected wealth formation in black communities (something that nobody with an IQ over 60 disputes). I know that looking at both sides of an issue is anathema for you, but it's what smart people do.

Yes, of course many white folks didn't cash in on that., including me. Many did, especially those that were able to buy in the 70s or earlier.

He argues against reparations. And he seriously doubts there is a way, other than general investment in black communities to make up for this and other disadvantages minorities had before the 60s. He totally does not try to play on white guilt and argues fairly vigorously against it.

I agreed w/ the vast majority of what Coleman said. He made some great points.

I hope he gets on Rogan, because I think his skin color and intellectual style might help him reach a slice of audience that probably doesn't get reached often.

Dave Ramsey is my guilty pleasure. He did a big study of millionaires. One of the findings was that most millionaires didn’t inherit their money, like 80%. Most millionaires just invest regularly in their 401k, don’t buy a bunch of crap they can’t afford on credit, and surprise they manage to save enough to retire.

I never read Ramsey, but "The Millionaire Next Door" said the same thing (over, and over, and over....) that most millionaires are right in front of you driving a 10yr old Camry, accumulating more and more wealth through their routine saving discipline, and effective spending habits.

R's should have this guy run for elected office and then watch how D's destroy themselves.

I think he's a democrat, but obviously a relatively conservative one on social issues and with respect to diversity of thought, free speech etc.

Yeah, i think he is a D, but he has rare intellectual integrity and would be someone i'd vote for.

I have listened to this guy before, and he seems to be extremely reasonable. Not a SJW, logical arguments, you can agree or disagree but he is intelligent and interesting.

Dave Ramsey says he is voting for Donald Trump and says he doesn't care if people stop listening to his show.

Ramsey told his ~15+ million weekly users he was voting for Trump and said they couldn't cancel him because he owns the show. ...

"Some of you are never gonna listen to me again after this. That's okay. I can deal with that. That has happened to me for 30 years."

"People have threatened me like, 'I'm going to cancel you.' That's hard to do. I own the show and so you're not gonna get to cancel me. So you can leave, but you can't cancel me."

I don't like Ramsey, but he's a guy that seemingly sticks to what he says. If he said he was voting for Harris, I wouldn't care. Doesn't move me.

Most of his listeners and followers are likely conservative/right that just fucked up in life financially. A leftie just gets food stamps and doesn't fix the problem.
