According to this graphic, while marijuana is legal in NV you can't own a gun if you use marijuana? They ask for your name and license at time of purchase.

So if you've ever purchased legal marijuana, you lose your 2nd amendment rights? Is this true?

Dishonorably discharged vets is also problematic. So if the military rejects you, you can’t own a gun?

They only have the power that we let them have. Remember that.

This is relevant question to which you must check NO to get a firearm.

So wtf does this mean?

Lets say you purchased 6 months ago and check NO in good faith. Then antifa shows up at your door and you brandish your weapon to chase them off. Then the liberal state Attorney can charge you w a felony for "lying" on a gun application?

Or would your name in that database make you unable to purchase at all?

This is fucked up!

Yes and no. The burden of proof on MJ usage is on the government. This came up a bunch when IL became legal at the beginning of the year. All my gun owner buddies were freaking out.

The government, even if they have record of you purchasing MJ, would have to prove you consumed it. Only way I know of is through blood test or eye witness from LEO. Just purchasing MJ does not imply you consumed it. So they'd have to get a warrant to get your blood. If you're a law abiding citizen, then you're fine. There's also the gray area of what defines an addict. Simply having it in your systems doesn't prove that. 2nd A is fine with regards to purchasing MJ in legal states.

I'll see if I can find the article clearing it up, at least for us in IL

Curious how a state att w a hardon for protecting rioters would interpret it.

Would be REALLY tough to pretend you didnt use the marijuana you purchase w your license.

Rights can not be taken. They can be usurped or given up, but they can't be taken.

It's really hard to prove you did use it though. Innocent until proven guilty thing. Could have bought it for a family member or friend that's not near a dispensary. Perfectly legal to give it away or exchange cash at face value for it just like I've paid my buddies for beer they supply at a get together.

Even if they somehow get their hands on your blood, I wouldn't be too worried about it. ATF is the one that enforces this stuff and I'm pretty sure they have bigger fish to fry than the guy buying a gun that "may" have smoked some pot. Look at Chicago for fucks sake, which you know.

And supposedly the license scans at dispensaries are just like buying booze, it's just to verify the age of the purchaser. I don't necessarily believe that it's not being tracked, but that's what IL is saying from what I've read on it.

Medical MJ is different because it's a completely separate license here. So having that is bad if you want a gun. But recreational is legal, so no need for medical license now. It's a problem in Montana with gun owners out there I guess. Docs will hand out the script to get the medical card out there, but you can no longer buy a gun then. My buddy wants to do both, but I guess you're in violation of MT law if you own guns and have the cards. It's a moving target and I'm not giving legal advice. I just think you'd be fine in most legal states. Feds aren't going to come after you in my opinion.
