Re-reading Grant's American Nomad. Nigger comes from the word niggur, a term coined by Appalachian Scotch-Irish. It roughly means a bad-ass, rough neck, scoundrel. Ethnicity doesn't matter for shit in the application, never did until the early 20th century. Redneck original meaning was someone who was fervent about a particular religion. Forget the real meaning of cracker, but also not an ethnic slur. So the racists, are the people who insist those words only apply to certain ethnic groups.

That's why I show my kids older movies. Even the "Last Dragon" is more normal than any shit today, and not least most of the Supie Hewo bullshit.
I want them to learn if they practice Kung Fu, they can beat the Shogun of Harlem. Not that they are born with special supie snowflake powers they had no role in obtaining, or because they lucked into the MacGuffin of mystery, be it a magic potion or high tech suit or whatever.
While I don't admire the CCP, I do understand and appreciate why they've imposed sweeping regulations on media to remove positive references to single moms, unmarried single women (except as a YOUNG love interest), and LGBTQ123+ romance, and insist that the bulk of television and movies portray men in a heroic role who are rewarded for discipline and virtue.
