What characteristic of white supremacy culture has been the hardest for you to unlearn??? For me, "sense of urgency" has been the hardest since I'm naturally impatient too.

I'm having a hard time trying to unlearn the following characteristics of white supremacy culture (as listed by the National Museum of African American History in 2019):

strong work ethic
planning for the future
objectivity
rational linear thinking
respect for Western civilization
self-reliance
the written tradition
the nuclear family
being on time
speaking grammatically-correct English
the scientific method
private ownership of property
action orientation
competitiveness
delaying gratification
decisiveness
politeness
celebrating Christmas
respect for authority
understanding cause and effect

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a support group I can go to to help me unlearn these harmful traits?

What kind of stupidity is this? I cannot believe the African American museum would list all these positive traits as signs of white supremacy. As a African American I am totally appalled. My kids have all these traits and we teach good character being te first thing to look for in people.

Do you think there is systemic racism? I'm white as a sheet, I think there is.

I think there's a coordinated effort to get black people in welfare, to under police areas they are the predominate race in, I think corruption is ENCOURAGED in schools that "serve" these areas. I think welfare is a trap, that black people are able to more easily get on welfare, this is designed to keep them poor and dependent on the government, but able to easily live. I think our government used the black population as a study to see how to make dependents on the government.

I don't have white guilt, I just hate my fucking government. What say you?

Malcolm X once opined that black and white people should be separate. I don't necessarily think he was right, but I think local control is beneficial to everybody. The only time there should be control exercised over that, is when corruption is found at the local level. Mafias are created, and they are in the government, and when they are found, get a bigger thug to destroy them but once they are destroyed, the bigger thug needs to be expunged, and has to step back.

No I don’t think there is systemic anything other than banks taking advantage of the poor using the government to enforce their will.

Back in 1992, East Palo Alto, CA briefly became the murder capital of America with 42 killings. So an enterprising Stanford professor invented an acoustics listening device for triangulating where gunshots were fired: ShotSpotter.

Ever since, ShotSpotter has been accused of racism since it tends to find that the most gunshots are fired in black neighborhoods, thus leading to black residents being unfairly targeted by excessive policing. Of course, those are precisely the neighborhoods where the most people are murdered by guns each year, but you aren’t supposed to think about Occam’s Razor explanations like that these days.
