Sept 21 (Reuters) - The State Bar of California is contemplating a new admissions pathway that would allow law graduates to become licensed without taking the bar exam.

The State Bar’s Board of Trustees on Thursday unanimously voted to gather public comments on a proposed new program in which law graduates would receive provisional licenses and work under the supervision of an experienced attorney for four to six months while being paid. During that time, candidates would compile a portfolio of work that would be graded by the state bar. Those who earn a passing grade on their portfolios would become fully licensed in California without taking the bar exam.

“Candidates who choose this licensing path will avoid the heavy expense of preparing for the traditional bar exam—a burden that falls disproportionately on historically disadvantaged groups, including first-generation graduates, women, and candidates of color,” according to a report on the proposal.

Supporters told the board of trustees Thursday that the so-called Portfolio Bar Exam program would lower the cost of entering the profession for public interest attorneys, public defenders, and attorneys working in rural areas. It would also bolster the number of non-white attorneys, they said, citing research that shows Black and Hispanic examinees have lower pass rates than white bar takers in California.

Back in 1992, East Palo Alto, CA briefly became the murder capital of America with 42 killings. So an enterprising Stanford professor invented an acoustics listening device for triangulating where gunshots were fired: ShotSpotter.

Ever since, ShotSpotter has been accused of racism since it tends to find that the most gunshots are fired in black neighborhoods, thus leading to black residents being unfairly targeted by excessive policing. Of course, those are precisely the neighborhoods where the most people are murdered by guns each year, but you aren’t supposed to think about Occam’s Razor explanations like that these days.

A new study revealed that Black women of African descent were the most likely to die during a devastating medieval plague.

Research of 145 bodies that were examined from three different London cemeteries found that there was a higher proportion of female people of color in plague burials compared to non-plague burials, according to the results of a Museum of London Study that was first published by the BBC.

"There is a significantly higher proportion of people of estimated African affiliation in the plague burials compared to the nonplague burials (18.4% vs. 8.3%)," the study reads. "For the female-only sample, individuals of estimated African population affinity have a significantly higher estimated hazard of dying of plague compared to those with estimated white European affinity. There are no significant associations for any of the other comparisons."

Researchers used data on bone and dental changes of the 145 people studied, using a forensic anthropological toolkit to determine whether bones were likely to have come from someone with African heritage.

The medieval plague, often referred to as the "Black Death," was an outbreak of disease across Asia and Europe that killed millions of people between 1348 and 1350.

While it is estimated that roughly 35,000 people in London died of the plague, the likelihood of death was greater for people already facing significant hardship, the study noted, arguing that part of the higher death rate for people of color was the result of the "devastating effects" of "premodern structural racism" during the time period of the plague.

Ever notice that most commercials feature an inordinate number of black people? What I want to know is who coordinates these trends and why is everyone following them.

Inordinate is the understatement of the year, it's almost nothing but black people.

Blacks are 14% of the US population but when people are surveyed as to what they think the percentage is, the average response is 40% (people really are stupid and easily manipulated).

This is being done intentionally to support the systemic racism and white supremacy narrative. If people think nearly half the population is black, then everywhere where there are more whites than blacks it's by definition racism at work. In reality there's nearly five times as many whites as blacks in the US.

Were not allowed to talk about though, as simply noticing what's going on is also racist.

What I want to know is who coordinates these trends
