#coronavirussafetyDespite the hard times, yesterday was a glorious day. The sun came out. All the fog vanished. There was not a cloud in the sky. I had a 45-minute swim in a super safe environment where masks, hand sanitizers, thermometers, and social distancing are practiced. Afterwards I did a 6.5-mile hike along the ocean. I started along the concrete portion of the seawall. I went to the earthen part of the seawall near Sharp Park Golf Course. I then climbed up to Mori Point to get some spectacular views of the beautiful town where we live. Even in sad times it's wonderful to be alive on such days!
There were a lot of people out enjoying the beautiful day. 85% had masks or some other form of face covering. Most of the 15% without face covering were self-conscious about it. They were most careful to maintain good social distancing. Then at the entrance to the path going up to Mori Point, I encountered a big group of bike riders. Most were middle-aged men. Only one had a face covering on. They were making no effort to practice social distancing. I made sure that I didn't get anywhere near them.
Taking a few simple steps can save your life.

You seriously consider unmasked middle age men to be a lethal threat?

What really puzzles me is when I see someone alone in a car wearing a mask.

So much fear for so little risk.

You can't catch Covid-19 outside by passing somebody. Face masks outside are bullshit unless you are at a close contact mass gathering.

Or riot.

Excellent mind-reading. Can you always tell the emotional state of others so clearly? Or just non-mask wearers?

I'm glad you enjoyed the outdoors.

Mask wearers often have a look of fear in their eyes. Maybe they think I'm going to give them the 'vid.

I was out at Half Moon Bay State Beach (Venice Beach) yesterday and it was so cold we had to leave.

90s on the Peninsula and low 60s in Half Moon with a brutal wind chill... we couldn’t sit in a bathing suit for more than 30min. Such are NorCal beaches sometimes.

But it was a beautiful clear day! Great day for physical activity but too cold and windy to sit on a beach.

Or that you have bubonic Ebola.

More than for protection, wearing masks outside in public, signify your virtue. "I'm not doing it for me, I'm doing it for YOU!"

Hey what about all the inclusion and diversity? You get hailed and celebrated and are untouchable if you have HIV. Fuck people in the ass unprotected no big deal. Hey where's the love and inclusion for CV+ people?!
