Always been this way. Likely drugs, as usualProbably right. A good example was Bunker Spreckels, an odd name but heir to the Spreckels sugar fortune and step-son of Clark Gable. It wasn't enough, though, so again at the magic age of 27 he offed himself with a drug overdose. Also a good example of the third generation gone to waste.

Basically every musician I listened to in the 90s is dead from suicide or OD, which might as well be suicide.
It is odd but most musicians who O.D. do so at 27.
By 27 you're either happy and successful (success doesn't mean fame/money) or you're completely miserable.
I didn't know Elvis' grandkids were crisis actors.
