Sad news.

We aren’t gonna get that kind of acting again.

Will they be auctioning his Zardoz loincloths and population culling sidearms? I think Bill Gates will drive the price up.

90 is a pretty good age to achieve.

He had a great life and was a real Chad, some very wise quotes against feminism, also "you have to be anti-social to get somewhere in life". Of course the term anti-social back then was a precursor for defying all the woke BS we see today.

He was a good actor at what he did, but he was not a great Actor.

His last few movies in the early 90's on, The Rock and Medicine Man are great examples. Even though he was in his 60's in some of those roles. He did not look a person in his 60's that could be traipsing alone around a Brazilian rain forest, or doing Action movie roles. His later roles were all type cast to roles he played before the 90's.
Either Knightly in a mid eval Court, Thief, Spy, or Soldier. Just an aging version of those earlier roles. And he was one of those guys that always needed a younger Star playing the Leading role or part of an ensemble all star cast.
Sean Connery was iconic in some of those other roles, but it was more because the appreciation of who he was. It's like Sean gets roles because he sounds cool saying a memorable movie quote, than how he carried the character.

Best scene as 007: he blinded a bad guy with his urine sample at a health spa.

I think what you're saying is that he didn't transition into older roles, like an Anthony Hopkins or a Gene Hackman, who became the senior statesmen for Hollywood during their golden years.

Finding Forester was his only attempt at playing a relatable role to your average person. He as an unbelievable character in his 60's playing those roles.
At least Gene Hackman could still play a bad ass over 60, because he played a believable character in that age group, because he played a character, that used his age and experience. Not his gun play or action skills. The same with Jack Nicholson, he started out in dramas for most of his career, it wasn't until he was in his 60's that he played a bad ass, crime boss or any role like that. Sean never did a Terms of Endearment, and As good as it gets, or a Royal Tenanbaughm.

I do think Sean is a better actor than Micheal Caine, now that was an over rated actor.

I think if Steve McQueen didn't die, he would have been the best Bond ever.

Roger Moore was the best in terms of most authentic bond by far, typical thin lipped brit. Connery ranks 2nd.

All bonds were good till last pussified version.

Yep, Roger Moore was the best Bond.

The best Bond was Connery; he was tuff and looked like it. Moore struts around like a male model.

Thunderball was my favorite Bond movie.

When the bad guys tried to shoot Bond while dancing, he swings the girl and she gets it. He carried her to a chair "Do you mind is she sits this one out? She's just dead. "

In Dr. No a guy tried to kill him and shot pillows.
Bond "That's a Smith and Wesson and you've had your six."

True that
16   Ceffer   2020 Oct 31, 10:25pm

I thought the best Bond has been Trump in "From Russia With Love".

I hadn't watched any of them until 4 years ago when I binge watched all over a winter. I think Connery was the best.

Cool day to die though!

Often today I couldn't help feeling for the kids who don't get to trick-or-treat. I remember shitty weather we almost didn't go but this is BS.

Probably a minority, but my favorite Bond was Pierce Brosnan. He had more savoir faire than the others.
