Tom Lehrer has decided at age 92 to place all of his songs into the public domain. This applies to all of his lyrics and music, but not necessarily other artists' music he wrote lyrics for.
Fans of his, what are your favorite songs? I like the wild life of Alma, the pace of New Math, and one of his lesser known new works, That's Mathematics. Backstory goes he couldn't get the rights to the "That's Entertainment" song so he rewrote the melody just enough to not violate the copyright. It's part of a set he did for The Electric Company or equivalent kids' show.
