Past Bitcoin hater changes tune, Economist Nouriel Roubini, also known as “Dr. Doom,” has admitted that bitcoin may be a store of value. Cash, have you looked into trading crypto in a retirement account to avoid the tax impact?
Often they are for accredited investors and charge significant fees.

I don't believe you can, in good time I think that will be possible once the banks start to use these instruments.

I am absolutely amazed with this crypto run. Market cap went from 400 to 500B in just a few weeks. Institution after institution is getting in but retail is un-aware (judging by google trends). Watch this curving up when BTC hits new ATH and the media is covering it day and night. Smart money comes first, retail later....

66   Bitcoin   2020 Nov 17, 12:01pm

Cash, do you know where I can follow how many Bitcoin shorts are getting liquidated?

Here is another amazing statistic dealing with capitalization w/i the crypto world "DeFi"in just 5 mo the gains have been exponential with a 1300% gain and I am anticipating an easy 700/800% more before a consolidation. however I guess we will see. . https://defipulse.com/
My main Defi coins "ETH is a must have" are the SNX, Link and ADA. SNX is basically the derivative king as far as DeFi is concerned as #1 holding Dominance of
83.69% and 9th in running in the DeFi ecosystem as a whole.

As far as BTC goes if it keeps tripping on price before it hits 18000 where a big sell wall waiting I am looking at 17350 for buyers to head back in and that could cancel the sells out and bring some FOMO of every kind... This volatility is just what I and most all traders are looking for, the more violent the better ;)
68   Bitcoin   2020 Nov 17, 12:28pm

Thanks Cash!

I am planning on adding to my ETH position and also starting scaling into Link.
Can you buy SNX on Binance?

A person can gauge some idea of trader sentiment using the depth charts (buy/sell walls) are you familiar? Also some use Crypto Fear & Greed Index Over Time https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/ which is 5pts from the last recorded high 95 from this site 1 1/2 yrs ago... I love me some Greedy FOMO especially from institutional traders... What some may not realize the rich have money coming out of their butts , more then they know what to do with and a bunch will be entering this market.
Take it to the bank...

You can as long as you are not a US citizen, even on Binance.us I can't trade due to the state in which I live, I guess it depends on state regulations as well as federal. Are you staking your ADA on the Daedalus wallet, I think its worth 4-5% I hold some their staking with the Angle pool. My SNX is in my Dharma wallet which if I remember I just transfered ETH and swapped out for SNX. You can buy SNX on Kraken I believe.
71   Cash   2020 Nov 17, 12:50pm

Is a good thing BTC slowing down here, let the price get hosed down a little it's steaming.
72   Bitcoin   2020 Nov 17, 12:57pm

I am signed up on Kraken now. Will look for SNX there. thanks!
Yes, ADA is on Daedalus.

Here is a good strength meter https://www.fxblue.com/market-data/currency-strength which no matter how you slice and dice BTC is killing it. You can switch from Short-term, Medium-term, Long-term and Custom. With custom I set it with History bars: 50 Timeframe #1:H1 Timeframe #2:H4 Timeframe #3:D1 The Bars can be set from 20/50/100

Gigantic sell wall at 18500 however the USD is dead and the buy wall is not that far below 18150+/- so will see if the exchanges let price hit that vein of sellers.... They may not honor 18500 and the sell wall disappears.

In less then 15min a -1200+ dump and a 50% recovery https://www.tradingview.com/x/0SFqgN3Q/ Just a tension release I believe, and my next marker on a breach of that last high with a possible a slight stall at 18500 is 18800/19000. Buyers are defending price imo a perfect test of that long spike now time to reject sellers and make them become buyers

G36 have you heard about PI network? https://minepi.com/ It's a no brainer giving the ability to crypto mine using your phone w/o draining the battery.
Short story, small mining pools are created and as they mine it secures the coins. If you sign up you need a referral so you can use the reference cash007
It's a work in progress but who knows ;) There isn't any monetary value at this time but a ground floor opportunity w/o any cost associated. https://minepi.com/faq
If you do sign up you will want to use your real name so if/when this actually gets off the ground your name will match kyc details that will hopefully be needed some day.

I. Introduction and Summary Conclusion
This letter responds to your request regarding the authority of a national bank to provide
cryptocurrency custody services for customers. For the reasons discussed below, we conclude a
national bank may provide these cryptocurrency custody services on behalf of customers,
including by holding the unique cryptographic keys associated with cryptocurrency.

This letter
also reaffirms the OCC’s position that national banks may provide permissible banking services
to any lawful business they choose, including cryptocurrency businesses, so long as they
effectively manage the risks and comply with applicable law.2

The New “Crisis Currency” https://internationalman.com/articles/the-new-crisis-currency/
Bitcoin has a very clear intrinsic value.
Bitcoin doesn’t use the traditional financial system. It has no central authority. Instead, bitcoin runs on a decentralized and voluntary network scattered around the world on many thousands of computers. It doesn’t need so-called “trusted” intermediaries or third parties. "Bitcoin has no counter party risk and has no single point of failure."
Bitcoin’s intrinsic value is that it allows you to escape the matrix… the financial prison that governments have erected with fiat currencies, central banks, and privacy-killing regulations serving as the bars on the door. It’s like a Swiss bank in your pocket.

BTCs quote currency USD has high probability of continuing testing and imo beaching that last low leaving high probability of BTC jacking up 18500 and beyond and testing the ATH of 19,666 depending on the exchange. Like I have mentioned BTC is not pegged to the USD it floats and has its own ecosystem and it's linked by fiat not "pegged" to any fiat.
In this environment there are little odds of US equities taking much of a correction either via RSI the indexes are not overbought and until DXY is in the oversold area 88+/-? and real "risk-off" gets involved I'm staying long. I do think a hard corrections is coming to these markets however not until the DX finds a bottom. https://www.tradingview.com/x/zH8HXOlN/

BTC chart with another 20%+/- gains easy enough. $24,000
https://www.tradingview.com/x/h8TAXted/

However due to DeFi $ETH is likely to out perform by x/x Ethereum's all-time high is $1,448.18 https://invst.ly/swq2u
after the $550s $ETH should fly with very high probability (Ethereum 2.0) https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-2-0-s-long-and-winding-road-to-scalability-launch
There is already many $ETH being accumulated due to a person will need 32 ETH to stake Ethereum 2.0 https://cointelegraph.com/explained/ethereum-20-staking-explained#:~:text=1.-,What%20is%20Ethereum%202.0%20staking%3F,blockchain%20in%20return%20for%20rewards.
I dont think ETH is more important then $BTC however I do believe the major gains will be had owning $ETH and EC20 coins such as $SNX and $LINK for 2
