This hasn't actually happened in the real world. Time to face reality, Trump has lost the election.

Trump isn't a winner, he's a loser! Present evidence (actual evidence like wasn't presented to the Supreme Court) that he has won or that there was massive fraud.

The correct term is : illegal alien.
Alien=foreign, not from here.

Immigrant means someone legally here.

Nop.
Per Dictionary :
immigrant - "a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country." Nowhere is said is living legally.
Per Webster:
Definition of illegal alien/immigrant
: a foreign person who is living in a country without having official permission to live there

Well, there's this:
"In multiple instances, Justice Sotomayor — the court’s most liberal justice — used the legal term “illegal alien” to describe foreign nationals residing unlawfully in the U.S. The term was codified into federal statute in 1986 by the Immigration Reform and Control Act and the term “alien” regularly refers to noncitizens or non-U.S. nationals in federal law."

Americans(speak for myself and other people I associate with of different races and political leanings) are not cruel like in Saudi Arabia or similar places.
We can't employ use-and-throw labor as American generosity and care for human rights will kick in.
The problem is that the long-term costs are not borne by the employers of this labor. The people hiring the cheap labor aren't paying the healthcare costs or the welfare costs of the US citizens being displaced.

How about this as an alternate: Halt low-skilled immigration (legal and illegal) and let people who want the kind of service provided pay the full cost of hiring US citizens. Then, instead of me getting slightly cheaper strawberries and much higher taxes, I'll pay extra for my strawberries to pay existing, unemployed US citizens and not have to pay huge taxes to give welfare to US citizens who are unemployed.

I think there is a legal term "alien" though, meaning someone who is not a citizen.

So @clambo seems to be right that the correct term is illegal alien.

Americans over generation have become rich or lazy enough that they won't do certain jobs.

@election2020 I disagree.

Americans won't do certain job for very low wages.

But if the wages were 2x or 3x, they would certainly do them.

The only reason the wages remain as low as they are is because we have so many illegal aliens.

Without them, wages would go up significantly, but so would the prices for some things. And as a follow on, the whole economy would benefit from poor Americans getting more money and spending here instead of sending it back to Mexico or Guatemala.

And the country as a whole would benefit from have a more cohesive citizenry with smaller disparity of income and with people not feeling entitled to welfare since jobs are readily available and pay a "living wage."

All the Central Valley white farmers kids don’t want to work on fields but want college jobs.
Sikhs or other immigrants are filling in their shoes.

That is a higher economic class than people who are competing with illegal aliens.

If your father owns a farm, or you managed to get here from India, you are already above the economic level I'm talking about.

I'm saying that the jobs that illegal aliens take at $65/day would be done by poor US citizens (not necessarily white, maybe black, Hispanic, whatever) if they paid $130 or $195 per day.

That's not what happened. I was very willing to do dirty or late nite jobs when they paid $13/hr in 1994. So were many others.

What happened was a large supply of migrants turned those $12-13/hr jobs into $7/hr jobs during the Globalization Era starting in the mid-late 90s.

whether in "closed system" economic condition of low earning workers will be better.
Please note that we are talking about managed immigration not a open-door dump of millions of people .. which would crash anything.
Also we can look at different geographical areas to see if higher % of immigrant population has any adverse effect on employment opportunities locally for lower 25%

I think that's a line of thinking most of us on this site can get behind. Carefully managed immigration could be very beneficial to the country (although taking the best is probably terrible for the countries the immigrants are leaving). The problem is the "open-door dump" that puts a strain on the USA welfare system and culture (what's left of it) and simultaneously adds a huge number of people competing for low-wage jobs.

In truth, "managed immigration" was exactly Trump's platform ... lots of legal immigration of the kinds of people who would be beneficial to the USA. During the original 2016 run, his website outlined a "point system" much like what is used in, for example, Australia. It's really not rocket science. Select for compatibility with western culture and English language skills; select for education and/or job skills needed to be filled; select for people who won't be a burden to society—people who can hit the ground running. Note that "compatibility with western culture" doesn't mean actually experienced with western culture; it means, for example, able to adapt to and live in a society with equal rights and religious tolerance, etc..

The problem for the Democratic party and many in the Republican party, is that their immigration concept is pretty much an "open-door dump."

poor immigrants probably spend all the money they earn, so improve the demand

But they don't spend it in the US.

They send a lot of their money back to Mexico or Guatemala. That's the primary reason they come here illegally to begin with - to earn money to send back home.

I would consider Canada, but don't want to look at the Queen on the money every day. That's my Irish half.

In the long run though, Canada has a lot going for it, massive land, infinite fresh water, and global warming, whatever the cause.

Time to invade Canada. But lets buy Greenland first. After all Greenland was once a US protectorate.

Any chance of EO activated?

Some folks in the CIA could be the first arrests of the EO.
It wont sit well, saying "Well yeah, there was meddling, but it was Russia. Yeah, most definitely Russia, no, not China, never China. A report will be out next year."
Give tomorrow, we haven't heard the last of this yet. A lot came out today, and that MI hearing and the Dominion hearing yesterday revved up the ire as well. That Dominion idiot's answers didn't sit well at all. He sounded worse at lying than Mark Zuckerberg, in fact they sounded the same. They have been coached by the same liar consultant. So has Fauci.

"I want to be perfectly clear... You really have to be careful when you say..."

When did that become any kind of answer, other than a load of Bullshit?
