Buy Rivian when it goes public!
Interesting. A call to invest in commodities like copper, cobalt, and lithium, since extensive use of these materials will be needed to supply the mandated amount of electric vehicles. I would not invest in "Green Energy" companies, as they will be scams like Solyndra and SunEdison.

commoditiesSounds like the 70's all over again. They were about the only upside to investing in that decade since there seemed to be a permanent shortage of all of them.
Tesla Upside from Battery Energy Projects is huge. Tesla Vehicle Sales tap into an $80Bn Market. Energy is an $800 Bn market. He's just begun to scratch the surface with energy projects, and he's standing up advanced, high volume battery production right now. Everyone else is playing catch-up, 6 years behind.
I'd heard starlink is only for rural areas. Perhaps that's only in the short run?

Rivian will have quite the competition from the electric Ford F-150. Ford has quite the experience with both pick up trucks and electric vehicles. Rivian is very expensive and may be limited to the Rolls Royce/Land Rover type clients.
Mostly - at first. But he's planning for 40,000 satellites. Yup, 40,000. That's a lot of bandwidth, certainly enough to cover the undersea cable routes. Other players (Bezos, etc.) are asking for Space and Bandwidth, but they have no launch vehicles and almost no satellites yet. How will they compete with the world's cheapest launch system that's also owned by the operator?
DId y'all know Tesla Batteries power the BFR/Spaceship? Everything Musk does gels with everything else.
